Update on Prime August

With all the turmoil in the DFG Universe, it was decided by DFG upper management to postpone the highly anticipated August publication of "Captain Nepto Prime". "The timing is not right, commented DFG Vice-President Darryl Andrews. It would be unfair to the current publications and the incredible storyline being developed in "Spy-comics Presents". The confusion to our readers of a compliament title depicting the learned awareness that David Anderson is not Captain Nepto and more that the entire DFG character list does not exsist could be potentially harmful to our readership base." It is not known when the issue, a whopping 24 pages, will be released. When asked how 2009 will unfold for DFG's premier superhero, Darryl Andrews was glib saying only, "Nepto will have a continued presence in the current titles with no impacting reference to the storyline being developed in the Prime title".

Frank Gorshin ~ Muse

Inspiration comes from many different places. For example, Captain Nepto's most popular villain, The Jester, was created in homage to comedian and impressionist Frank Gorshin. Mr. Gorshin was, of course, the ultimate Batman baddy in the popular 1960's Batman live action television series. Meeting Mr. Gorshin, who sadly passed away May 17, 2005 was certainly a thrill for Nepto's creator. Gorshin in the typical sarcastic fashion he was known, told Darryl he would gladly don the role of the Jester if DFG ever graduated from only being popular in Canada and if the cheque was big enough.
